About NABIP

NABIP members service the health insurance needs of large and small employers as well as people seeking individual health insurance coverage.

 

Every day, NABIP members work to obtain insurance for clients who are struggling to balance their desire to purchase high-quality and comprehensive health coverage with the reality of rapidly escalating medical care costs.

NABIP Members

  • NABIP members provide health insurance solutions to a diverse range of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to small family businesses and individual policyholders. 

  • They guide consumers through the process of choosing and enrolling in health insurance plans, ensuring both affordability and suitability. Beyond the initial sale, they provide ongoing support with claims, service inquiries, and compliance issues.

  • Many brokers are independent businesspeople who live and work in your community. They work with multiple insurance companies to provide consumers — their clients — with coverage that best meets their needs.

  • Insurance brokers are licensed and regulated by the states. Those who work with the state and federal marketplaces must also be certified by the marketplace. Certification requires completing a course of study and passing exams.

Members agree to abide by NABIP’s Code of Ethics, which requires them to always make health care coverage recommendations with the customer’s best interest in mind.
